Typography!!!!!!!!!!

This was probably the most frustrating assignment ever. I first had to find a picture big enough for an 11x14 piece of paper, and I had to find one that was good enough to trace my face.
I used brackets for my nose and eyebrows as they make that curvy shape that eyebrows and noses generally have. The mouth was definitely the hardest part, seeing that I couldn't find a good enough shape to type and make the mouth. So I just created a simple line and typed over that. Since I used a picture of myself with glasses on, I outlined the shape of my glasses and typed in my glasses with random letters. For my hair, I made curly lines with the pencil tool and typed over it with more random letters to show the wildness of my hair. I then used two brackets and connected them to create my slouched beret, which is part of my everyday look. So are my sunglasses.....not really though. But it does create some personality in the picture.

Cello

oh yeah.
oh yeah.

oh yeah.

When I first entered the world of illustrator, I wasn't really into the whole use of the pen. The reason was I just didn't understand how to use it. Using the pen tool was a frustrating process. I didn't know how to make the cello round, and I kept forgetting to make a new layer.
My favourite vector drawing was my freehand in colour. I think it's really neat how the colour of the body is kind of messy and not staying inside of the lines. That's all I have to say about that.
